Eithne Horan (MISCP)
Senior Chartered Physiotherapist
Eithne joined us with an extensive background in the treatment and intervention for chronic and acute soft tissue pain, injury and dysfunction. In 2002 Eithne completed a 2 year course in Complementary Health in the Cork College of Commerce and from there went on to work as a massage therapist, working in both Ireland and Canada.
In 2008, Eithne trained with the NTC and received a Diploma in Neuromuscular and Physical Therapy . Eager to further increase her clinical knowledge,Eithne returned to Ireland from Canada in 2012 to begin her BSc and achieved an Honours Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy from UCD .
Since qualifying, Eithne has worked with the elderly population in the areas of stroke rehab, the implementation of falls rehabilitation programs and exercise classes, and has completed post graduate training in dry needling. She also works with local football and camogie teams during season.
Eithne uses hands on manual treatment as well as exercise prescription, working together with the patient to set achievable and realistic goals in the treatment and management of pain and injury.
Outside of work, Eithne has a passion for travel and cuisine, health and fitness and attending the odd music festival.
