Alex Hassett (MISCP)

Senior Chartered Physiotherapist

Alex graduated with a BSc. (Hons) Physiotherapy Degree from University College Dublin in 2019. He has since worked exclusively in a musculoskeletal setting, completing a six-month internship in Santry Sports Surgery Clinic as well as working with a number of sports teams, including Old Belvedere Women’s rugby AIL and Men’s Junior rugby teams and UCD AIL rugby team.

Since graduating, Alex has gained experience in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including tendinopathies, spinal pain, knee and hip osteoarthritis, pre and post-operative rehabilitation and sporting injuries. He is invested in continuous professional development, having completed numerous courses in areas including lower limb tendinopathy, foot and ankle injuries, advanced first aid and running injuries. He regularly reviews and implements the most up to date research evidence to enhance patients’ outcomes.

 Alex believes in using an active approach to physiotherapy with a combination of exercise, education and manual therapy to help patients return to their valued activities and enhance their overall quality of life.

Outside of work, Alex has an active lifestyle, playing Gaelic Football with St. Jude’s Senior Football team. He has previously played with the Cork Minor and UCD Sigerson Football teams, been involved in Rugby and Sailing at a local level and also enjoys going to the gym, hiking and running in his spare time.
