Deirdre Roddy (MISCP)
Deirdre Nic Aodhain (Roddy) qualified from the University of Brighton in 2005 with a BSc. (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy. She completed her junior rotations in the Bons Secour Hospital Cork. Her love for travel then brought her to New Zealand and Australia where she worked in private practices for a further eight years. It was here that she continued to improve her knowledge, skills, professional development and experience. She was also involved in treating high level athletes from various backgrounds with an array of injuries and has become accustomed to the treatment, diagnosis and management of acute injuries such as knee and shoulder injuries.
Deirdre also enjoys the rehabilitation involved with all postoperative surgery. She has recognised the need for more women’s health physiotherapists in Ireland and is now specialised in the treatment of bladder and bowel dysfunction, prolapse, pelvic pain, pelvic floor pain and ante and post natal issues. Buttressing her Physiotherapy Treatment, she is also qualified in dry needling, DMA Pilates and the use of kinesio taping.
