Cathal is a dedicated and passionate chartered physiotherapist with a keen interest in strength and conditioning and sports injury rehabilitation. 

 

He completed a BSc(Hons) degree in Health & performance science in UCD and a BSc(Hons) degree in Physiotherapy in UCD. 

 

During this time, he completed a thesis in isokinetics and worked with the UCD rugby team and in the UCD Hub with under age soccer players. 

 

He worked in the National Rehabilitation Hospital for 2 years, gaining a wealth of experience working with people with neurological conditions such as Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury and Prosthetic rehabilitation. Cathal has gained a great understanding of neck and back pain from working in the spinal cord injury unit and how to rehabilitate and treat these conditions.

 

Cathal’s treatment scope includes manual therapy, dry needling and exercise prescription. 

 

Outside of work, he spends his time cycling, swimming, hiking and playing soccer.
