She is a keen believer in massage and manual therapies. Additionally, she is trained in joint mobilization and manipulation.

Maya completed her Pilates instructor training with APPI, which has allowed her to carry out methodical, evidence-based treatment to patients with spinal and pelvic pain. She also leads and runs our pilates service in our south side clinics, including private and group classes.Maya’s consultations involve a combination of manual therapy, dry needling and individualised exercise therapy, to help her patients recover from injury, increase physical activity, and improve performance, with a keen focus on overall well-being.

Maya also has a clinical interest in dance-related injuries given her substantial background as a dancer. She has been dancing since she was six years of age and hence has experienced multiple dance-related injuries which is what drove Maya to pursue a physiotherapy career. With this experience, she aims to help recreational, pre-professional and professional dancers optimise their training and performance.
