John recently qualified with a MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick, graduating in 2024. He previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science, which provided him with a strong foundation in biomechanics, exercise physiology, and performance enhancement. This background has given him a well-rounded perspective on rehabilitation and injury prevention. He completed his final year thesis on “The effects of exercise in end stage liver disease” providing him with a breadth of knowledge of the role that exercise plays in chronic conditions.
With a keen interest in sport injuries and exercise based rehab and is passionate about helping clients returning to peak performance in whichever capacity that may be. He has experience working with a variety of populations from post-op, chronic pain and clients who want to get back to recreational hobbies or to high level sport. His academic and practical experience allows him to tailor exercise programmes to meet the specific needs of each individual, whether they’re recovering from injury or aiming to optimize athletic performance. Additionally, John’s treatment skills include dry needling and manual therapy to assist with recovery.
Outside of his professional life, John plays football and enjoys staying active through regular gym training – experiences that further inform his approach to physiotherapy and client care.
