Classes.

The Better Neck Programme is a rehabilitation class for people who suffer from traumatic or chronic (long-standing) neck and/or shoulder issues. It is led by Chartered Physiotherapists who focus on the treatment of these injuries. Evidence shows that active rehabilitation and exercise therapy improves recovery in neck and shoulder pain and also in whiplash associated disorders (WAD) and is made up of people like you who suffer from pain in the neck, shoulders and associated areas. Class participants will learn how to pro-actively manage the problem with the aim of helping you to get and feel better and back to a pain free life. The Better Neck Programme has a strictly limited class size to allow the Chartered Physiotherapist who leads the class can spend one-on-one time with each participant. We aim to help treat Osteoporosis sufferers.  Osteoporosis is a condition that affects the density and strength of your bones, increasing the risk of fracture. There are no symptoms of Osteoporosis so often it is not diagnosed until after a fracture. There are a number of risk factors for developing Osteoporosis, some of them we can’t change; such as our age, previous fractures or thyroid activity. Thankfully, there are risk factors such as smoking, physical activity and proper diet that we can take control of.

Here at PhysioCare, we have designed a class to help people with Osteoporosis. This exercise based class is designed to get people strong and reduce their risk of falling while promoting healthy bone activity. Throughout the class, we will be working on your muscle strength, your movement and your balance. All areas of the body will be worked on; from your shoulders, to your hips, to your ankles. It is an eight week program which will also improve your cardiovascular fitness, giving you more energy. The class will take place weekly here in our spacious PhysioGyms, led by our Chartered Physiotherapists who will guide you through the program while also providing you with advice and tips for you to do when at home.

To help our more mature patients increase their energy levels and wellbeing, we have designed a group class known as Fitness50 to help increase their strength and movement. This class is held weekly for eight weeks and is limited to a maximum of eight participants. Your instructor will spend one-on-one time with you to ensure that you receive the maximum benefit possible as tailored to your individual needs. The class will begin with a warm-up using balancing and stretching movements and includes the use of foam rolling to relieve tight areas, functional and corrective exercise using therabands and Pilates techniques to assist with breathing control.
